Spectrum 2017 Details Come from Rochester

screen-shot-2016-10-02-at-1-06-43-pmThe Rochester STC conference – Spectrum 2017 – should be, as usual for Spectrum conferences, a worthwhile event full of great ideas and speakers.

It’s been 58 years for the conference, so they must be doing something right.

Held on March 26-28, 2017, the conference has the theme – Optimizing Your Role in an Evolving Profession.

Calls for proposals end December 9, 2016. Get the call form at http://stc-rochester.org/spectrum/cfp/).

The conference site brings attention to how factors such as the growth of the Internet of Things and the importance of User Experience design can bring us a host of questions.

  • “How do we transition to supporting the vast array of inter-networked computers and devices?”
  • “Is there still a role for the traditional technical writer?”

My guess is that attendees will walk away from the conference with a good start at answering those questions.
