Building LEGO structures isn’t just for entertainment purposes anymore – you can use them to encourage team communication and problem solving too!
Heidi Spangler, owner of Backwards Bicycling, LLC and certified LEGO Serious Play facilitator, led attendees in exploring their creative sides by providing topics to illustrate and discuss using LEGO Blocks.
Building with LEGO bricks can provide several benefits to a team, including:
- Bringing out introverted personalities and counterbalancing dominating personalities
- Gathering answers from all members of a team
- Helping team members come out of their comfort zones
- Encouraging constructiveness – “Everyone builds, everyone shares, and everyone participates”
As an added bonus, attendees could take their one-of-a-kind creations (along with the rest of their LEGO sets) with them to continue their constructive explorations.
