Join us in sincerely congratulating wonderful Lynn on achieving this honor. Lynn is a Communications Analyst for Rockwell Automation with 20 years’ experience in technical writing, content marketing, editing, graphic design, entertainment writing, public speaking and events planning. Her current role at Rockwell Automation includes revamping and editing the High Performance Organization’s SharePoint site, blogging, and producing and editing technical podcasts focusing on programmable automation controllers.
Her previous roles in global marketing communications and technical information development at Rockwell gave her opportunities to participate on special projects that included Voice of the Customer research, UX for marketing deliverables, and helping to revise the company’s SharePoint branding site.
She has moonlighted as a Technical Writing Associate Instructor at the University of Akron, an Academic Relations Representative for local colleges, and an online newsletter co-editor for the Northeast Ohio Chapter of the Society for Technical Communicators for which she has received three APEX awards. She received the 2016/17 Distinguished Chapter Service Award and was the 2016/17 Vice President of the chapter.
She is a past president of the Professional Women’s Council – Rockwell Automation Cleveland Chapter, team lead for the Rockwell Automation Girls Go Science group, Manufacturing Day STEM event organizer, Engineers Week presenter, FIRST Lego League coach, Toastmasters Competent Communicator Certificate holder, Learning About Business presenter at Lake Erie College, four-time Content Marketing Awards judge, and has won several writing awards. She has presented internationally at Content Marketing World Asia Pacific in Sydney, Australia and Singapore. Her hobbies include mentoring young people, photography, writing, and dancing.
