November Monthly Meeting
“They Want Video! Where Do I Start?”
Cameras! Scripts! “Talent”! It sounds sort of familiar, but the world of instructional video can quickly get bewildering if you’re new to the process. This presentation walks you through the design and development of creating a video used for workplace training. You’ll be introduced to key equipment used on a typical “shoot,” the roles and responsibilities of a video crew, some best practices for writing video scripts, and the post-production processes that generate the published piece. The strengths and limitations of video as a communication medium will also be discussed, as well as some tips on collaborating with video vendors.
Presenter: Kim Lindsey
When: Thursday November 10th
Where: Cinécraft Productions Inc
Kim Lindsey is the eLearning & Instructional Design Manager at Cinécraft Productions Inc. in the Ohio City area of Cleveland, where she designs learning experiences on a wide range of topics for the company’s clients.
